It’s pretty simple. It takes patience, hard work, and years of studying the market to understand what the consumer wants and how we can make it happen. Actually, not that simple… let’s take it from the top.
In 1985 Llorens Pharmaceutical Corporation was established in Caguas, Puerto Rico, mainly focusing on developing over-the-counter and prescription medication, from the common cold to gastric bypass. Since its launch, brand products such as Tusnel®, Dologesic®, and Proteinex® quickly became mainstream, allowing the company to open its international division in Miami, Florida by 2000. Through the company’s interaction with nutritionist, dietitians, and experts in the field, something became evident: there is an urgent need for lean products that are safe to consume and positively contribute to adult’s lifestyle. And we’re not just talking about patients and those who are under a doctor’s care, but the mass population is also seeking specialized nutrition that promotes a healthy lifestyle.
So we decided to jump in. Let’s make specialized products that appeals to both men and women, young and old, active and non-active, athlete, teacher, student… (you get the picture). In 2009 we created Aminorip®, our predigested liquid protein that provides a high concentration of protein per serving. Why did we kick off this venture with protein, you might ask? Our experience in the field has made us seen the benefits of protein, firsthand. It’s good for the muscles, it provides energy, and it’s great with wound healing. Plus, our protein is collagen-based! Need we say more?
Slowly and surely, Aminorip® made its way into the fitness world. We started sponsoring athletes (we are refraining ourselves from name-dropping), attending renowned events, and mixing up our product offering by adding new flavors and supplements into the brand. Our cherry-on-top moment definitely came in 2017 when (drumroll please) we opened our very own manufacturing plant in Miami, Fl. We are proud to say that our Aminorip® product line (as well as our over-the-counter) is made in the USA, right here in our manufacturing plant. With our one-stop shop, we are able to develop, test, manufacture, and sell products that we believe in. As a family-owned business, we take pride in knowing that our products positively contribute to our consumer’s lifestyle and wellbeing, and we will continue to work hard to ensure we continue that way.
